Adhered Roofing System

An adhered Sarnafil roof system will typically consist of a structural deck, Sarnavap self-adhesive vapour control layer, adhered SarnaTherm insulation, and adhered Sarnafil G410-EL or Sarnafil G410-ELF membrane. The type of membrane chosen will generally be determined by the level of aesthetic requirement, with the G410-ELF felt-backed membrane masking more surface irregularities.

Generally, adhered roofs are used on smaller projects, where there is a high aesthetic requirement, such as residential buildings. They also lend themselves to refurbishment projects, where mechanical attachment can be problematic.

What ultimately determines if an adhered system can be used is the wind uplift, as adhered roofs can only be used up to 24kN. Sarnafil carry out a wind uplift calculation for every project, so it can be designed accordingly.

Sarnafil G410-EL & ELF (Felt) Single Ply Membrane

Sarnafil G410-EL is a multi-layer, synthetic roof waterproofing sheet, based on premium-quality polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which has been used since the 1980s in the UK. Sarnafil G410-ELF (Felt) is a multi-layer, synthetic roof waterproofing sheet, based on premium-quality polyvinyl chloride (PVC), with underlay of 300g/m² polyester fleece

It is certified by the British Board of Agrément (BBA) with product life expectancy of ‘in excess of 40 years’. Sarnafil G410-EL & ELF has ultraviolet light and flame retarding properties. It is hot-air weldable, and can follow almost any form. It is formulated for direct exposure, and designed to use in all global climatic conditions. Furthermore, it has a unique lacquer coating applied to the top of the membrane, to resist staining from airborne dirt and pollutants.
