Single Ply Ballasted Flat Roofs
Ballasted roofs have become more popular as designers and users look to utilise the roof space. Ballasted roofs can be living green roofs, brown roofs, paved, stone, or indeed a combination. The primary concern for Sarnafil is ensuring that the roof design meets all the aesthetic requirements, whilst providing waterproofing for the roof.
This could mean that an inverted ballasted roof (the thermal insulation is above the waterproofing) or a warm ballasted roof (the thermal insulation is below the waterproofing), with the necessary level of protection, is specified.
Sarnafil G410-EL is a multi-layer, synthetic roof waterproofing sheet, based on premium-quality polyvinyl chloride (PVC), with an inlay of glass non-woven, containing ultraviolet light stabilizers and flame retardants.
Sarnafil G410-EL is a hot-air weldable roof membrane, formulated for direct exposure and designed to use in all global climatic conditions. The membrane is produced with an integral glass non-woven carrier for dimensional stability. Sarnafil G410-EL is the Sarnafil roof membrane which can be used for ballasted membrane systems.
Sarnafil G410-EL has a unique lacquer coating applied to the top of the membrane, to resist staining from airborne dirt and pollutants. It has no built-in stress at the time of production, and has a fully encapsulated carrier, with no risk to delamination or water-wicking. The dimensional stability of Sarnafil G410-EL is excellent, and it is available in a variety of colours and thicknesses.
